Nashville, Tenn., (June 18, 2012) – TriStar Parthenon Pavilion is pleased to announce that Alexandre Koumtchev, M.D., a board-certified psychiatrist, has joined its medical staff. Koumtchev joined Centennial Psychiatric Associates, part of TriStar Medical Group, in Nashville, Tenn.
“Dr. Koumtchev has a strong reputation of helping patients achieve mental wellness through a combination of compassionate and comprehensive care,” said Allen Bartels, administrator of Parthenon Pavilion. “His experience and leadership will greatly enhance our individualized in-patient care and out-patient services.”
Koumtchev received his medical degree from the Medical Academy, (Medical University – Sofia), in Sofia, Bulgaria, and completed his psychiatry residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Koumtchev joins TriStar Medical Group from the Veterans Affairs Hospital where he worked at the Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Nashville campuses, and has been an attending physician for patients at TriStar Parthenon Pavilion since 2008.
Koumtchev will provide in-patient care at TriStar Parthenon Pavilion and has assumed the role of medical director for the CLARITY program, an intensive outpatient treatment program focused on the healing of trauma.
