Derek Purcell, M.D. has joined Nashville Knee and Shoulder Center at Centennial Medical Center, part of TriStar Health System®.
Dr. Purcell received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA. He completed his General Surgery internship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Purcell completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency there as well. At Washington University in St. Louis, he completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Sports Medicine fellowship and served as an assistant physician for the St. Louis Rams, St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues. Dr. Purcell is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
