NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 6, 2013) – TriStar Centennial Medical Center is pleased to announce Laura Asherbranner, BS, RRT has joined the medical center as director of respiratory services.
Asherbranner joins TriStar Centennial from TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center where she had been in leadership positions since the hospital’s opening in 2003. As the manager of cardiopulmonary services for a new facility, she was responsible for planning, organizing and facilitating operations, equipment, supplies and staffing for respiratory therapy, pulmonary function lab, blood gas laboratory, non-invasive cardiology, and neurodiagnostic devices.
Laura was then promoted to director of cardiopulmonary services as well as environmental services where she developed and implemented multiple service excellence initiatives. In her position held immediately prior to joining the TriStar Centennial team, Asherbranner was director of cardiopulmonary services, neuro/sleep diagnostics & Meaningful Use coordinator and was responsible for opening the TriStar StoneCrest Center for Sleep Medicine as well as coordinating the chest pain accreditation efforts.
Asherbranner earned her associate of applied science in respiratory care from Volunteer State Community College. She holds a bachelor of science in healthcare administration from Columbia Southern University where she is also pursuing her master of science in organizational leadership.

In her new role, Asherbranner will oversee respiratory services for all of TriStar Centennial’s cardiopulmonary services.
