Robert Wheatley, MD, FACC
Dr. Wheatley is a native of Springfield, Kentucky. After graduating with honors from the University of Kentucky, he received his medical education at the University of Louisville where he graduated cum laude and was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He served a Residency, Chief Residency, and Fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty boards of Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Wheatley holds fellowships in the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Wheatley's major focus in clinical practice is interventional cardiology.
Dr. Wheatley has participated as a principal and co-investigator in a number of clinical interventional trials over the past several years, and he has remained active in the clinical teaching program at Centennial Heart Cardiovascular Consultants.
Dr. Wheatley is married to Sue Lee, MD, and has two daughters, Samantha and Andrea.
