Cardiovascular Research in Nashville
In 2007 Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) launched its cardiovascular research program with the establishment of Centennial Heart as a strategic investigative site. Since then, the Cardiovascular Research program has grown to 10 strategic sites across the country working in collaboration with more than 125 cardiologists in the areas of interventional, electrophysiology, cardiovascular disease, surgery and structural heart.
Cardiovascular research at SCRI continues the legacy of cancer research initiated in 1993 by Tennessee Oncology researchers F. Anthony Greco, M.D., director of Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, and John D. Hainsworth, M.D., chief scientific officer, who shared a vision of bringing innovative treatments to cancer patients in the communities where they lived.
TriStar Centennial Heart & Vascular Center is proud to partner with SCRI in transforming cardiovascular therapies and advancing patient care. Learn more about the ongoing studies taking place at TriStar Centennial Heart & Vascular today.
