Total joint replacement surgery education classes are held in our Joint Camp Room. These pre-surgical classes are designed for our total joint replacement surgery patients, their caregivers, and their families. Members of our specially trained team lead the classes.
Goals for total joint replacement surgery education classes:
- Educate patients about the surgery they are about to have
- Decrease patient anxiety about pain related to surgery
- Help patients understand their care after surgery
- Teach patients an exercise program to help their rehabilitation
- Prepare patients and their caregiver for a safe return home
- Explain discharge options
