Breastfeeding Basics class - provides latest evidence-based information for helping mothers get off to a good start with breastfeeding. Class includes information about breast pumps, skin to skin, returning to work, etc. Information for support person on how to support mom with breastfeeding will also be covered. Class is taught by an IBCLC/RN. Please bring a large and small pillow with you to the class.

Infant CPR and Safety
This class is designed for new or expectant parents or grandparents, family members or babysitters interested in learning about infant safety. Participants will be given accident prevention and safety tips, instructions and demonstrations on clearing an infant airway obstruction (choking) and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The CPR training provided will not certify you in Infant CPR but will teach you the necessary skills to perform CPR on your child, thus equipping you to handle an emergency situation with greater confidence.

Just for Me Sibling Class
Designed for children ages 4-10 years old, this class emphasizes the importance of becoming an older brother or sister. It helps to prepare the child for the arrival of a new baby. Important newborn characteristics and behaviors will be reviewed as well as some expected family changes. Rules for infant safety and tips on how to help with the newborn are given. Class includes a Big Brother/Big Sister T-shirt, Certificate and class handouts. This class also includes Tour Labor Suite, Postpartum Room and Well - Baby Nursery.

Labor of Love
This series includes a variety of topics, some of which include signs and stages of labor, pushing positions and techniques, comfort measures, pain relief options, variations in labor and delivery, routines after delivery, postpartum care and instructions in relaxation and breathing techniques.

This is a one night class designed for moms-to-be who are desiring a natural childbirth, and have already taken the Labor of Love Childbirth Class. We will discuss comfort measures, relaxation, massage, what to expect, and additional information and resources to prepare for your natural childbirth experience.

The curriculum will feature basic new born care, bonding, feeding, basic safety and much more. Instruction will be "hands on" with newborn dolls for practical experience.

Sibling Stroll - Tour of the Hospital
A tour of labor and delivery, postpartum, and well-baby nursery designed for 2 to 3 year olds. Children will learn about medical equipment used to help moms and babies, the importance of hand washing, the roles of doctors and nurses, and the importance of asking permission before touching the new baby. Parents would stay with children for length of tour. Mom's time in the hospital would also be discussed. Children will receive a "Big Brother" and "Big Sister" t-shirts.
