Smoking Cessation Program
Smoking Cessation Program
Smoking Cessation Program
For individuals ready to live a tobacco-free life, TriStar Centennial Medical Center offers quarterly smoking cessation clinics on campus. We use a group setting that helps tobacco users address the physical, mental, and social aspects of their nicotine addiction. Participants are guided in the steps involved in successfully quitting smoking during a seven-week session.
The group discusses approaches to dealing with urges to smoke, including using medicines to help alleviate symptoms. Long-term strategies are identified for each participant that includes behaviors alternative to smoking. The group support setting assists in encouraging participants throughout the program.
